Manchester-based has won a six-figure investment from business angel Mark O'Brien.

The online parcel delivery website clinched the cash through the Northwest Regional Development Agency's (NWDA) Business Angels investor event.

The business said it is going to use the funds to "accelerate its growth plans and diversify into new markets". It said it has achieved "excellent growth" inside 11 months of trading and has created 14 jobs in the process.

David Grimes, co-founder of, said: "Having been approached by a number of very experienced investors – we secured a fantastic deal with Mark that will ensure the growth and expansion of occurs at a significantly faster rate than it would have done organically.

"We can now invest heavily in our technology, sales and marketing to propel our brand all over the UK. Mark brings to the table a wealth of knowledge of growing an on-line business, and has already had a big impact on the business."

David Read, head of business finance at the NWDA, added: "I'm delighted to see that our business angels network is continuing to help small and medium-sized enterprises get the right access to finance and support."

The NWDA is being dissolved in April 2012 following government changes to regional development structures.
